Last night when I came home, the kids were already in bed, as they are most Monday  nights. I always make sure to peek in at them before I go to bed. I noticed that Evan was wearing his summer jammies…his Batman summer jammies. I thought it was cute, especially since yesterday he’d been playing superheros.

This morning, he wakes up, asks me to put his cape on and tells me “Mommy, I’m Batman.”

Adorable.

Ellie got the same story, with a minor twist, when she got up. “Ellie, I’m Batman…now hold my hand.” Apparently, you can’t refuse when a superhero tells you to hold their hand.
