Although there are few things I love more than this boy’s hair, it was quite obvious my little man needed a haircut. Hair in his eyes and long, long top layers covering those beautiful blonde curls. Oh, look at him…so cute it literally hurts me. When I look at him, i just hear his little voice saying “love too, mommy.” Yep, gets me every time.

We’d talked about getting a haircut…and one minute he’d be excited, the next he wouldn’t. He knew the drill and would repeat it to me. “Water on it, then snap, snap.” When it came time, i think he was too excited about playing with the salon’s toys to think about the haircut. Finally, we convinced him to come sit on mama’s lap.

Here goes…the first cut….

Kristi said he actually did really well. It felt like he was squirming all over the place, but she said she’s seen much worse.

Checking himself out in the mirror…almost done.

And…getting his much deserved sucker.

You can see I couldn’t quite cut off all the curls. We cut just enough so that he could see again…

Let me tell you…if this kid lived in the 80′s, he’d have great mullet hair. Great. Mullet. Hair.

I know eventually they’ll have to go, but for right now…I’m LOVING those curls!
