Well, blog friends…we’ve been on vacation. A lame vacation…but we did get a lot done.

The most notable change…

Kindof hits you as you round the corner to our house. When you’re used to the dull blue, the bright of the cream hits you right in the face.

A little more “yellow” than I would have originally gone…but since its done, we’re not going back. We’ll either get used to it, or hate it  for a few years and then side it. Repainting…not really an option. Wow, is that a lot of work…and I’m not planning on taking off another week so I can paint my house again.

Shudders are still to come. Keeping the original blue. Just haven’t got the window trim painted yet…a project for a different day. We figure, our neighbors have looked at a crappy paint job for 8 years, they can look at a nice paint job with unpainted trim for a little while longer…and hey, nobody seems to be complaining. Perhaps they’ve accepted our policy, our living here and taking our time getting aesthetic things done makes them look better.
