Finally getting around to blogging these pictures. I put them on Facebook shortly after our trip to the police station and then they got lost in the new computer shuffle until right now…

We went with Beth to drop off some sweet treats to the Waverly Police Department…and I’ll admit it, although she never would…we took Evan in hopes that by bringing a cute little boy we’d get to see the department’s SUV.

Sadly, we didn’t get to see the real thing, but Captain Eggleston was kind enough to let Evan drive his mini SUV around his office for a little while.

And then he gave him a police badge and this kid had a friend for life. He still calls it his “badger” that the police man gave him and wears it when he and his sister fight the bad guys at home. Is that seriously cute or what?

Thanks to the WPD for making this little boy’s day!

And we may not have gotten to see the vehicle we wanted to, but the substitute Bremer County Sheriff car was enough for Evan.
