Now, Ellie hasn’t really ever been much of a climber, thank goodness.  She will do the occasional stand on the couch maneuver, or crawl up on to the fireplace, but was never really into standing on tables or anything terribly dangerous. 

These are pictures of my little climber the other day, deciding she’d climb up and over the side of Daddy’s green chair.  She actually has quite the system.  She’ll step up on the arm for the footrest and throw herself over the arm of the chair, and then, she’ll hover there, not having enough weight to pull her over until she swings her feet up enough to give her that needed momentum. She’ll then sit up and exclaim “Made it, mommy.” 

Doesn’t she look proud of herself?  It was hysterical to watch.  What was even better was right after she accomplished it, she thought her baby had to.  It was even funnier to watch her put her baby through the same motions. 

I can’t help but laugh at her.  She is just so darn cute sometimes!
