In October we carved pumpkins. It wasn't the usual pull out the guts and cut some holes in it to make a face. Instead we carved it like you would with wood, but on a pumpkin, and pumpkins are A LOT easier to carve then wood. It was the first face carving for both of us and it was a great way to start. Unfortunately, if you take off too much you can't glue it back on. The pumpkins also don't last very long. Ours were starting to mold after a week, and I don't think they're going to make it until Halloween.
