young state fans

I had to post this picture…just for the fact that it was incredibly hard to get. You see, Ellie is in the stage where she doesn’t want to sit for anything…which frustrates her poor mother. My mother would probably tell me she acts just like I did. Maybe there IS something to “what goes around, comes around.”

a run on the blue track

Ogden high school built a new track within the last few years and its where Grandpa Stan and Grandma Sandy go to walk. While we were there, Ellie was thrilled at the chance to run on the blue track…and run she did. She ran all the way around it – at least once…which is more than I can say for the rest of us. This girl loves to run.

it’s hard to be a baby

I absolutely love it when kids are so tired that when they’re placed on their tummies they cry and cry and then give in.

I often ask him “Why don’t you just close your eyes and fall asleep? That’s what mommy does”

And why does the value of a good nap not hit you until you’re somewhere between 18 and 20?

Ellie’s first bomb pop

At the pufferbilly days parade in Boone, some organization was handing out bomb pops along the parade route. What a hit!

It was Ellie’s first bomb pop…the first picture says it all…”what is this thing?”

We think she liked it. Enough to eat the whole thing and not want to share. I think dad may have gotten one bite…to save it from dripping down her shirt.

a well loved cookie

dscn7211.jpg

Our cookie…a lifelong friend…
He’s been peed on…
thrown up on…
squeezed to death…
and has come through it all amazingly well.

He’s looked better, but she could care less.
She loves him anyway.
