I assure you i did not attend this game to see Brett Favre take the field for the first time as a viking. In actuality, I thought about not going when he signed on the Tuesday before…but I had the tickets…and have always been a fan…not just a fair weather fan. We vikings fans know that there often isn’t a lot of fair weather that surrounds the metrodome.  
Brett Favre may just be one more thing us lifelong fans have to weather. 

 

Perhaps I’m getting old…but last time I was at a vikings game…I don’t remember this kind of a crowd.  Sometimes I don’t like large groups of people…although most of this crowd was dressed similarly to me, so I was in good company. I was just missing my face paint, hair dye, and horned helmet.  Silly me.

The best part, we went with Nathan’s sister and her hubby…Chiefs fans.  Nathan is a chiefs fan too…but three against one wasn’t fair…so i made him wear vikings apparel. And, I think he’s becoming a fan too…just one of the better influences I’ve had on him since we’ve been married.
