Ellie’s second parent program of the year at preschool was the last weekend in April.
Yes, this is how far behind I am on blogging…
This time around, for their program, we planted large pots of flowers to decorate her childcare center.
Of course, all the kids couldn’t wait to get their hands in the dirt…which was actually more like mud. Even better, in their opinion!
Dad even got to get in on some of the fun!
And then after relaxing on the lawn with a cookie-on-a-stick thanks to Ellie’s wonderful teacher,
It was off to the playground.
Nathan kept giving me the “will this hold me?” look, I just kept giving him the “we’ll find out” look.
It did.
But, in the end I think he felt a little closer to the ground, just in case. So, onto Ellie’s favorite venue…the sandbox. Usually, more ends up in her hair than anything else. Have you ever tried to get sand out of long hair? Every time I drop her off at school and they’re playing outside, we go over sandbox rules…which involve the standards…no throwing sand…no eating sand…and my personal favorite…no making sand angels.

Nice to have a parent day. I’m sure that made her feel really special!! Looks like fun too!
