yesterday morning, we were driving across town to our sitter’s house and Ellie was entertaining the van with her beautiful singing. The song went something like this…”i can sing my song, i can sing my song, i can sing my song…”

Anyway, it was beautiful and we were a little early, so we went the long way around the loop so we could hear more singing.

About halfway around the loop (3 or 4 blocks strung together), Ellie stops and says “i’m gonna save the rest in my mouth until we get to jean’s house.” I smiled and told her i thought her singing was beautiful and that’s why i went the long way – to hear more. And she replied “okay..but I’m saving the rest for jean…in my mouth.”
