We used to make these “turkey cookies” with my grandma every thanksgiving as a table decoration.
You use fudge stripe cookies, chocolate drops for the tummy, chocolate chips for the feet, and candy corn for the head. She’d set the ingredients in front of us with a big bowl of frosting and say go. What a wonderfully brave woman.
I’m so glad my mom is just as adventurous when cooking with her grandkids.
It was fun to watch ellie do this project…it took me back.
So careful…why can’t she concentrate on everything with this intensity?
sometimes frosting is just too tempting!
my mom…super grandma
enjoying the end result

Love the picture of your Mom and Ellie! This is a great “cooking adventure”. Doesn’t ruin anything. You could do this!! Go Janette Go!

It was fun – have to keep up traditions.
Wonder what it will be like when 2 or 3 want to help.

We used to make them with my grandma too. But she used Ritz crackers instead.
How is everyone feeling? Did you try to go to McDonalds. I woke up Sunday morning and the first thing through my head is McDonalds is closed. I tried to call you, but it was busy and I just remembered again now. So sorry if I sent you on a wild goose chase.
