making pretties

Ellie’s Great-Grandma Friesen gave her the Doug and Melissa set of beads for her birthday…
We finally busted them out on Monday, and had a beading ball!

I was impressed with El’s spelling and letter finding ability…my big girl is so BIG…

Evan couldn’t get his hands on them fast enough. Thank goodness my mom was here to help, otherwise beads would have been everywhere.

Everyone got necklaces…Grandma, Grandpa, Evan…even Mom.

El made mine for me as I was getting ready for work, so i could wear it there and according to her “show all my friends my beautiful necklace.” So, thats just what I did.
If you were in the library on Monday night and were wondering what was up with my jewelry…now you know.

I, for one, found it hard to take apart and put back into the jar for next time.

That’s right…not a hat at all…but a pink, fuzzy purse. Oh, Ev.

or practice gymnastics on daddy?

What a great morning!

meet frosty

All winter Ellie’s been dying to make a snowman.

But fluffy snow doesn’t quite do it…

Last weekend the snow had melted just enough to stick together…and to make it super heavy.

Super heavy…like when i asked my hubby why frosty wasn’t any bigger, he replied “It was like rolling wet ice crystals.”

Wet, sloppy fun.

Kind-of glad I was at work. :)

Sometimes looking at pictures is the best part.

All that is left of poor frosty is arms and his little carrot nose, laying in my muddy, puddly lawn.

Sad to see you go Frosty…but I do love the sunshine!

fireproof

Seen it?

We just did.

We didn’t love everything about it. We rarely love everything about a movie.

BUT…

The message is good. It’ll get you thinking.
