we get to go “home” for thanksgiving today…
i LOVE this holiday…the food…the weather…the football…the family…the napping…
i just can’t wait! i’m almost giddy
isn’t it funny…the things we just can’t wait for? i called mom yesterday to see if my sister and her little girl had arrived yet…they hadn’t – I wasn’t even there, it wasn’t like i was going to see them until tonight anyway…can’t help it – giddy.
Yesterday, I went to pick Ellie up from daycare, where apparently they had “thanksgiving dinner” for lunch. She immediately tells me that her tummy is really big. I asked her why and her response “I ate too much.” So, that thanksgiving tradition of eating well past your limit starts early!
She was telling me what all she had to eat and ended with pie. Apple pie…that was “squishy and squishy”. I’m not sure what kind of pie they’re serving in schools these days…but for the last two days, when anything is squishy…its automatically like the apple pie she ate at school. funny girl.
She fell asleep on the 10 minute drive home too…something she never does…so that tells you that the tradition of falling asleep after eating too much is alive and well even when you’re 2.

I’m going to let you in on how it is to be me…
Last night at about 11:00, I ordered something online. This morning Nathan gets up and is reading email and shares with me that today is free shipping day on that website.
So, if you’re looking to get a good deal online…or a good deal on gas prices…just ask me when i bought them last and plan accordingly.
My daughter…acrobat…silly…hysterical to watch…
In case you’re saying “what is that?’
Well…that would be her potty seat…around her feet and her stool around her shoulders…I wish the picture did it justice. Seeing her walk down the hall like this had Nathan and I laughing hysterically.
And the potty seat on her head…sanitary I’m sure…
Another thing I’m sure of…we keep her around for comic relief…some days its her one saving grace…that, and we love her.
